Introduction (పరిచయం)
Galatians 2:11–21 passageలో, Apostle Paul ఎలా Apostle Peter (Cephas)ను publicగా confront చేశాడో మనం చూస్తాం.
ఇది ఒక very sensitive situation — ఎందుకంటే Peter యేసుతో నడిచిన apostle, Jerusalem church leader.
ఈ devotional మనకు ఒక important question వేస్తుంది:
👉 Christians మధ్య disagreement వచ్చినప్పుడు, మనం ఎలా react అవ్వాలి?
👉 Truth కోసం stand తీసుకోవాలా? లేక fear వల్ల silentగా ఉండాలా?
Background: What Really Happened?
Antioch churchలో Jews & Gentiles కలిసి fellowship చేసేవారు.
Peter కూడా మొదట Gentilesతో కలిసి food share చేశాడు.
But later,
👉 Jerusalem నుండి వచ్చిన circumcision group చూసి
👉 Peter fear వల్ల Gentiles నుంచి separate అయ్యాడు.
Paul దీనిని గట్టిగా observe చేసి ఇలా అన్నాడు:
“They were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel.” (Gal 2:14)
ఇది false teaching issue కాదు.
ఇది fear & hypocrisy issue.
Peter’s Problem: Not Heresy, But Fear
Peter gospelని అర్థం చేసుకోలేదా? ❌ No
Peter already knew:
✔ Salvation is by grace
✔ God shows no favoritism (Acts 10–11)
But problem ఏమిటంటే:
👉 Fear of people
👉 Fear of reputation
👉 Fear of consequences
ఇది మనకూ చాలా relatable, కదా?
Paul’s Courage & Wisdom (పౌలు యొక్క ధైర్యం మరియు జ్ఞానం)
Paul, Peterను confront చేసినప్పుడు, అతడిని insult చేయలేదు.
Personal attacks చేయలేదు.
“racist”, “proud”, “hypocrite” లాంటి labels వేయలేదు.
పౌలు చేసిన ముఖ్యమైన పని ఏమిటంటే
అతడు discussionను arguments దగ్గర కాకుండా Gospel core దగ్గరకు తీసుకువచ్చాడు.
పౌలు పేతురును గుర్తు చేశాడు:
“A person is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ.”
(Galatians 2:16)
ఇది పేతురుకు కొత్త బోధ కాదు.
ఇద్దరూ ఇప్పటికే నమ్మిన సత్యమే.
పౌలు పేతురును తప్పుపట్టడంలో కాదు, అతడు నమ్మిన సత్యానికి అనుగుణంగా జీవించమని పిలిచాడు.
The Heart of the Gospel (సువార్త యొక్క హృదయం)
Galatians 2:20 ఈ passageలో heart verse లాంటిది.
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
దీని అర్థం చాలా deep:
ఇక్కడ
👉 cultural superiorityకి place లేదు
👉 religious prideకి place లేదు
👉 race-based privilegeకి place లేదు
మన గుర్తింపు ఇక మన cultureలో కాదు, మన law-keepingలో కాదు, కేవలం Christలో మాత్రమే. ఇది అంతా Grace of God వల్లే.
పౌలు very clearly చెబుతున్నాడు:
If righteousness came by the law, Christ died for nothing. (Gal 2:21)
అంటే, మన నీతి మన ప్రయత్నాల వల్ల అయితే, క్రీస్తు సిలువ మరణం వ్యర్థం అయిపోతుంది.
Application for Today (మనకు ఏమి నేర్పుతుంది?)
ఈరోజు churchలో issues చాలా ఉన్నాయి.
Race గురించి debates ఉన్నాయి.
Culture గురించి disagreements ఉన్నాయి.
Gender, theology, traditions మీద conflicts ఉన్నాయి.
ఇలాంటి సందర్భాల్లో మనం సాధారణంగా అడిగే ప్రశ్న:
👉 Who is right?
👉 ఎవరి మాట correct?
కానీ పౌలు మనకు నేర్పే real question ఇది:
👉 Are we acting in line with the Gospel?
👉 మన ప్రవర్తన సువార్తకు సరిపోతుందా?
ఇతర క్రైస్తవులతో మనకు disagreement వచ్చినప్పుడు,
మనమేం చేస్తున్నాం?
కొన్నిసార్లు మనం attack చేస్తాం.
కొన్నిసార్లు silentగా ఉండి, లోపల superiority feel అవుతాం.
లేదా, surface-level conversationsలోనే ఉండిపోతాం.
Paul Shows Us the Right Way (పౌలు చూపిన సరైన మార్గం)
పౌలు మనకు ఒక clear model ఇస్తాడు.
ముందుగా, shared faith in Christ నుంచి start చేయాలి.
తర్వాత, truthను humilityతో మాట్లాడాలి.
చివరిగా, మన victory కోసం కాదు — Christ’s glory కోసం మాట్లాడాలి.
ఇది easy కాదు.
కానీ ఇది gospel way.
Conclusion (ముగింపు)
The Gospel మనందరినీ equal ground మీద నిలబెడుతుంది.
మనమందరం
👉 Created by God
👉 Fallen sinners
👉 Saved by grace
అందుకే disagreements వచ్చినప్పుడు,
మనము judgesలా కాకుండా,
cross దగ్గర నిలబడ్డ forgiven sinnersలా మాట్లాడాలి.
Truth లేకుండా love ఉంటే అది mislead చేస్తుంది.
Love లేకుండా truth ఉంటే అది wounds చేస్తుంది.
కానీ Gospelలో truth + love రెండూ కలిసి ఉంటాయి.
అదే పౌలు పేతురును confront చేసిన విధానం.
అదే ఈరోజు మనకూ అవసరమైన మార్గం. 🙏
